We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer who will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology, guiding our team, and building scalable systems that impact real lives.

What You’ll Do

• Lead by example: Drive technical design and architecture decisions across multiple platforms, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and long-term impact.
• Guide delivery: Partner with product and operations to translate business needs into technically sound solutions, shaping roadmap priorities and sequencing work.
• Mentor & grow the team: Provide technical leadership and foster best practices in coding, documentation, and testing.
• Be hands-on when it matters: Balance leadership with direct contribution to high-impact code, especially in critical areas.
• Communicate with clarity: Make complex technical trade-offs understandable to both engineers and business stakeholders.

• Full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript
• Cloud-native deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform
• Postgres, MongoDB, BigQuery for data
• Kafka for event streaming
• React / Next.js front-end
• GraphQL experience preferred
• Deep GCP expertise is a strong plus

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience across the full SDLC (planning, coding, testing, deploying).
• Prior leadership experience — whether leading distributed teams, owning major projects, or mentoring others.
• A well-rounded background across startups and/or enterprise environments.
• Strong systems thinker who can weigh short-term pragmatism with long-term impact.
• Excellent communicator with high EQ, assertiveness, and the ability to energize a team.
• Thrives in a fast-moving, startup environment where ambiguity is part of the challenge.
