Court Representative conducts legal representation on behalf of Quickstop Finance Center or any related party.  The Court Representative is required to present and argue cases before magistrates with the goal of reaching a favourable settlement. In pursuit, they are required to process legal documents and carry out follow up with local magistrate offices and process servers with the goal of moving defendants through the legal process in a timely fashion.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

1.    Prepare legal documents and file claims at the various Magistrate Courts (inclusive but not limited to file creation, court preparation and filing of documents) for customers who have reached the legal stage.
2.    Provide Summons, Court Orders and any other related legal document to Process Servers for delivery to defendants. 
3.    Conduct timely follow up with Process servers and at Magistrate Courts across Belize in relation to legal proceedings and court documents that are filed for processing.
4.    Adhere to established company KPI’s inclusive of but not limited to court process efficiency and court preparedness. 
5.    Conduct due diligence and follow up with legal customers with upcoming court hearing dates (within 14 days) with the goal of reaching a settlement agreement and avoid going to court.
6.    Present and argue cases at the various magistrate courts countrywide on behalf of Quickstop Finance Center or related parties to reach a favourable settlement.
7.    Follow up and ensure payments made at the Magistrate Courts are processed and reflect accurately in defendant’s account.
8.    Update customer accounts and loan statuses in the Vergent LMS to reflect current court status and hearing updates.
9.    Provide court updates and progression summary with suggestions and valuable feedback to TCSA lead for improved court processing.
10.    Work hand in hand with TCSA collectors to ensure seamless communication to customers as they move through the legal process.
11.    Promote and contribute towards a positive relationship between Quickstop and the Magistrates Courts and their staff.
12.    Any other duties assigned.

Education 
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business

Work Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Legal Representation or Process Servicing.

    Excellent spoken and written communication skills
    Knowledgeable in Belize civil court procedures
    Intermediate computer skills
    Attention to detail and accuracy

Working Environment:
Coordinated via Company office and utilizing schedule, where each person is to work in accordance to Labor laws for a maximum of 45 hours excluding lunch.
